Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga proves you don't need a console to get a proper role-playing experience. You build a party of four, each with skills that genuinely combine, and the turn-based battles reward planning over button-mashing. Positioning matters, and so does knowing when to hold back.

The story is told in short, well-written scenes that never overstay their welcome. I found myself caring about the grumpy healer more than I expected, which is a good sign. Save points are generous, so the game fits around a busy day.

My only gripe is the early inventory screen feels cramped on smaller phones. Once you're past the first few hours, though, it settles into a genuinely satisfying loop.
